The international support of the European Meetings on Cybernetics
and Systems Research held in Austria in 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978,
1980, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000,
2002 and 2004 (when 500 scientists from more than 40 countries
from all continents, except the Antarctica, met to present, hear
and discuss 137 papers) encouraged the Council of the Austrian
Society for Cybernetic Studies (OSGK) to organize a similar
meeting in 2006 to keep pace with continued rapid developments in
related fields.

A special sesssion will be held on the experiences with the 6th
and expectations on 7th Framework Programme of the European
Communities, with speakers from the European Commission and
national representatives. Time will be available to find partners
for potential future consortia for project proposals.
For submission of the final camera-ready papers:
- Verify your paper complies with the formatting instructions
(hard limit of six pages) and can be reproduced in
good quality on a black and white printer
- Name the file with your contribution:

according to the file format used, e.g.:
A_Emcsr_Trappl.pdf (for a PDF submission to Symposium "A Systems Science") or
G_Emcsr_Petta.ps.gz (for a PostScript submission to Symposium "G Cultural Systems")
- Update the electronic summary submission form
using your tracking number and authorization code, providing:
- Corresponding author details
- Title, authors, and keywords of the submission
- The keywords for your paper (along with relative page numbers)
- Abstract text of the submission
- Use the tracking number and authorization code
for your submission to upload your final paper using the URL
specified in the Email with the notification of acceptance
Please use the tracking number in all correspondence concerning your paper.
The electronic camera-ready final papers are due to be uploaded by
January 30, 2006.
Acceptance of final papers will be based on
compliance with the reviewers' comments and the formatting instructions.
To ensure that all papers in the EMCSR'2006 proceedings have a
uniform appearance, authors are asked to adhere to the following
instructions. Please note that this already applies for the
preparation of draft final papers submitted for review!

personally at the Meeting by one of its authors.
- EUR 230,-- if received before January 30, 2006
- EUR 280,-- if received later (only participants without paper
contribution)
- EUR 330,-- if paid at the conference desk (only participants without paper
contribution).
The Final Paper must be accompanied by the payment of the Conference Fee.
The Conference Fee includes participation in the Eighteenth
European Meeting, attendance at official receptions, coffee during
breaks, and the volumes of the proceedings available at the
Meeting. Please send cheque, or transfer the amount (free of

The International Federation for Systems Research is willing to
provide a limited number of scholarships covering the registration
fee for the conference for colleagues from weak currency
countries. Applications should be sent to the Conference
Secretariat before November 11, 2005 under all circumstances.
The conference organizers can accept no liability for personal
injuries, or for loss or damage to property belonging to
conference participants, either during or as a result of the
conference. Please check the validity of your personal insurance.
