Special Event: Visit of the Heinz von Foerster Archive

Since 2000 the Department of Contemporary History of the University of Vienna hosts the Heinz von Foerster archive, a considerable collection of papers and other material by and around the late Heinz von Foerster (1911-2002). The Heinz von Foerster archive serves as a research facility for students of the history and theory of cybernetics, systems thinking, and constructivism.

Visitors to the EMCSR 2006 are kindly invited to join a presentation of the Heinz von Foerster archive on Thursday, April 20th. Meeting point is the Dept. of Contemporary History (Institut für Zeitgeschichte), Spitalgasse 2, Altes AKH, Hof/Court 1, 1090 Wien, at 10 am. The presentation will take about two hours.
